End-to-End Engineering Process

From feasibility to commissioning

Five stages, matching sections S-02–S-06 of our General Information Catalog — every tooling project is run with the same discipline from kickoff to production sign-off.

S-02Project Management

Strategy, Organization & Control

Starts with tooling realisation APQP, a weekly-updated master timing plan, process layout and CAE review, tool design review, raw material requisition, gauge concept/design review and development planning; continues with visual component tracking, static and dynamic tool buy-off, 6-piece Level 2 CMM control and a 30-piece SPC capability study.

S-03Analyze

Feasibility & Process Analysis

We determine the best forming method using simulation software and our in-house experts. Any negative results from the simulation are reported, along with our development recommendations. We develop appropriate processes for progressive, tandem and transfer dies, and prepare all data required for tool design.

S-04Design

Tool Design & Review

Die designs are prepared according to press type and product process — specifically to FORD, RENAULT, VW GROUP, AUDI, BMW and FIAT standards. Die structure is checked with section reviews and crash tests for kinematic control, and designs are checked against more than a hundred questions so most issues are eliminated before customer review.

S-05Reporting

Production Planning, Follow-up & Reporting

We plan and initiate the process from tool build to serial approval, following dynamic, static and quality controls and reporting with visual material (photo, video) at customer-determined phases. Using our extensive tooling network across Turkey, China and Korea, we determine the most appropriate tooling and follow the process through to completion.

S-06Commissioning

Final Review, Correction & Commissioning

We complete all dynamic, static and quality controls before the die leaves the tool supplier, providing our own inspection reports to minimize potential problems. Geometric (CMM) and cosmetic (visual audit) control reports are analyzed and necessary actions (CCAR) are shared to eliminate any detected issues.

ISO 9001:2015 certified since 12 January 2019

Every stage from feasibility to commissioning is documented with dynamic, static and geometric (CMM) controls; results are shared with the customer through visual material (photo/video), and every detected deviation is closed out with a CCAR.
